Employers LOVE entrepreneurial activity. They absolutely love when a candidate has shown initiative and is throwing themselves out into the world of business, even if that is completely unrelated to the field they are entering.

We really recommend having some sort of entrepreneurial experience when entering the placement process. Or, getting started when you're in the midst of it.

Entrepreneurial Ideas

Here are some ideas to get you started on how you could get involved with something entrepreneurial. Don't let these limit you though. The opportunities are endless and the hardest part is always getting started.

Create content

Start a YouTube channel, a podcast, a blog, something where you create some content and eventually have the goal of monetising said content.

The ability to build a personal brand and generate trust among an audience is an incredibly value one. Companies are seeing content creation with more and more respect and want such students on board. It's not too late to get involved in this, and could even turn out to be a great side hustle for you.

Media

Digital media is a lucrative field and although rather satuated, if you can get a group of people together with some key skills you can quickly come together into some sort of agency.

Find someone who has a passion for websites, someone with taste for social media, a strong designer and a great negotiator and you're good to go.

Dropshipping

We've all heard of it. Some say its dead, others say its just beginning. One thing is for sure, you can still get into Dropshopping if you do enough research and have a knack for internet marketing.

Translation

If you know a second language, monetise it!

You can find clients on sites like Fiverr and Upwork. Use your skills for good!

Flip websites

Purchase sites and brands that have already been created and have some traction. Take them to the next level, and sell them on!

Online/In-person Tutoring

This is a great one. It shows listening skills, the ability to teach and of course the monetary side to tutoring for payment. I did this throughout my A-levels.
